Simple Raw Food Recipes
These simple raw food recipes will help to make staying on a raw food diet easy and delicious.
One of the biggest complaints that I hear about being on a raw food diet is how much time it takes to make the food. This is because almost all of the raw cookbooks on the shelves are "gourmet" raw recipes. Yes, these definitely can take up some time out of your day and may not make sense for you in your busy life.
However, you do not have to eat gourmet meals everyday - or ever for that matter! If you think about it, you don't make yourself a cooked gourmet meal everyday if you are on a cooked food diet. And it is the same with raw foods. You just need to find a good number of simple raw food recipes that you really enjoy. Then you will be able to have your meals made in no time and can get back to enjoying the rest of your life.
Don't throw those gourmet recipes out though! They are great for when you are trying to impress others with the raw food diet, or for date nights, or when you are just bored with your diet and feel like being creative!
Mono-meals
Although I am listing here some of my favorite easy raw recipes, don't think that you have to have a recipe to eat simply! One of the easiest raw food meals are mono-meals. This is when you just eat one type of food at a time - usually fruit.
I love eating a whole cantaloupe or other melon for a nice lunch. It gives you great energy and keeps you nice and light. Another favorite mono-meal is bananas. Sometimes I just peel and eat them, but other times I blend them up with some ice for a perfectly sweet simple smoothie. I can eat up to ten bananas at a time this way! They burn right up though, so I am hungry again only an hour or so later, which isn't usually so great when you only have a small amount of time to make meals throughout the day.
